- the cooperative banks and its Luzon Federation for the online course in managerial problem-solving and decision-making in 1998;
- the De La Salle campuses (Professional Schools and Lipa) for allowing me to
participate in online teaching and learning workshops prior to year
2000;
- the Nagoya University Graduate School of International Development for exposing me further to online technologies in year 2000;
- the UPLB Institute of Computer Science for the students' practicum
that brought the first Apache-MySQL-PHP server to our office in year
2003;
- the UP Open University for allowing me join its online teaching class (also 2003);
- the Philippine Computer Society, the National Society of
Information Technology Educators and the Philippine Elearning Society
for the invitations to present papers in 2003-2004;
- the UP Technology Management Center for providing a
stimulating environment for technology deployment in classes since
1999; and
- last but not least, my home office, the UPLB-College of Public
Affairs' Institute of Development Management and Governance (IDMG)
where initiatives like this take on special meanings. My home
institution also hosted the first egovernance conference in 2004
